Any hopes on finding an LED frequency display for a TU-919? It looks like someone might be close. Thanks, Dave
Hi, Well I waited a while to reply. Perhaps I haven't powered it on for a while. The LED forms numbers by lighting the correct bars for the digit. The Zero should look like an "O". However it looked like a "U". The bar across the top was not lit for the entire display. I might send it here to get cleaned up: Stereo Surgeons, Inc.

FYI from
Tuner Information Center - Vintage Stereo Tuners
I have no idea about this shop nor can I confirm what has been reported.
that being said, I doubt that it is the LED itself if all the bars in the same segments have the same issue. Sounds more like a driver issue.

Please note that Stereo Surgeons in East Hartford, Connecticut is emphatically NOT RECOMMENDED. We have heard some horror stories in our FMtuners group about tuners that Ken Bernacky has held onto for YEARS, and obviously Ken has forgotten that reputable businesses have an obligation to communicate with their customers. There may even be something more serious going on here because we can't understand his failure to respond publicly to the complaints. With so many other good techs recommended above, why send your equipment into the black hole of Ken's shop?
Hi, The condition has cleared, so I don't have a picture. The driver does sound suspicious if the display started to work again. I wrote absoundlabs and hope to work with Mark on a restoration.
