safe to buy old multimeters?

Many moons ago 🙂, when I was young I bought a Fluke 27/FM - from ''military surplus'' in a very cheap price. Best multimeter for electronics hobbyists, for intermediate DIYers, for advanced DIYers, for green berets from Fort Bragg etc. Something real, "buy it for life" /#1/ :worship:!!!!
 
8 years ago I bought a Fluke 45 on ebay. Spent less than $80. It was used, not in mint conditions and for sure uncalibrated
It's impressive how it compares to a new calibrated Keysight 34461A
