I have installed a Newclassd neutrino clock to pin 19 (OSCIN ) on SAA7824 inside moon cd-1 cd player.
The unit works fine, actually it works with clock on pin 18 or 19 !
My question revolves around the fact that there is no feedback resistor for the circuit as shown in the photo and also clearly on the board.
So, would the feedback resistor be mounted inside the chip or is it not required ?.
Also my mind is thinking is there some sort of dc bias that without the original oscillator in place will not perform to 100 % because there is no feedback resistor in place.
Thanks 🙂

Hi Chilli6565
Since the datasheet does not suggest the designer to add a feedback resistor from pin 18 to pin 19, you can safely assume that the resistor is already inside the chip.
The correct input pin is pin 19.
