One general precaution is that overall production quality of russian tubes plunged somewhat in the 80's.
There are social and economical reasons for that.
So tubes from 80's, especially from the second half of the decade have to be tested and cherry-picked, you cant just take 10 tubes and expect them to have equal quality.
