At least one French member has reported difficulty using FRD Consortium programs, (Subwoofer Simulator, Unibox, Vertical Polar Response and many other excellent programs) because of some glitch in non English versions of Excel.

(i use other programs @ the moment, but when the bugs were gone it would be a nice sim program for evryone)
When i add my measured Frd's etc, en i go look at the spl they very ofthen are not displayed correctly. Sombody at another forum knew a solution that worked for him but sadly not for me.
(he entered 0 at the other impedance/spl files (the ones that werent used))

I think Xoversim has a limitation that you need to use files with the same number, order and spacing for frequency points.
This is not a major limitation, but it would give weird results if the files had dramatically different frequency scales. You could probably make dummy data and/or do a simple interpolation to overcome this if your FRD files have different points. I think this is what you are alluding to with the zeroes...

I just used plain Nodal Analysis. I really wanted to implement Modified Nodal Analysis, but I can't seem to find a good reference for the method. The only material I had come across in the Internet was written in Chinese with some broken English. Calculation time is quite good enough as it is, but ultimately I'll try to implement MNA.
Any chance of getting an advanced copy when it's nearly finished? 🙂 Development of new versions is slow at the moment. Full time work takes up most of my time and I find that I'm beginning to forget some indepth technical stuff. I'm hoping I'd be able to afford my 2nd year studies next year 🙂

Since you know C - there is a opensource spice simulator project out there called Gnucap. I downloaded the package but I won't look at it unless I really need to, cause I want the satisfaction of figuring it out myself - and since it is much more general than what I want to do, it would probaby just confuse me. I dont know C (yet).

If I get something kludged together, I'll let you try it out for sure. It might be a while. My interests are rather fleeting (Just ask Paul V) ;-)

Thanks for the kind words Ron. Yes I wrote XoverSim's engine having only 1st-year level knowledge, but not after a lots and lots of thought and imagination (not to mention debugging
). But it was really cool once the big picture became aparent enough to be able to compile working code.
