Technics stuff is awesome quality for the price. Dare to compare with anything in price range. Hey no hassle reliable qualityYes , If it craps out before 30 years it's crap. Old Pioneer and Technics stuff from Japan is rock sole BS and realize "bang for the buck" Technics is way up there.
The same here, but also for video. - the Panasonic tv's, dvd, and vcrs.On the several occasions in the past when I have been asked by family or friends to recommend a hi-fi purchase, I've simply taken them to the shop, pointed at a Technics system, and said "Buy that."
They just last longer then most other brands.
After 25 years in the last repair shop I was at, I'd estimate maybe 2 or 3 Panasonic tv's came in for service in a years time..
Unlike the hoardes of Samsungs, Vizios, Sonys, etc etc...
Did not know they were still in business. Would definitely purchase again. Had turntable and car cassette player when a kid.The same here, but also for video. - the Panasonic tv's, dvd, and vcrs.

Ditto on the Panasonic TV and associated video equipment!
That's what we have in our living room and it has given us long years of service.
I'd like to upsize to a larger screen, but our current Panasonic TV stubbornly refuses to bite the dust!
Nowadays, Panasonic no longer manufacture their own screens, but I would still bet on the superior reliability of their TVs.

I purchased my Panasonic Viera LED flatscreen in April 2014, and to this day it's been flawless.Ditto on the Panasonic TV and associated video equipment!

And it's a "dumb" tv, none of that "smart" crap, because I don't need that, I just want to watch tv.
Several of my friends took my advice and got Viera's too.... and never had a problem with them.
Even back when CRT sets were common, it was the Panasonics that outlasted other brands.
In fact, I have a 10" set on top of the fridge, made in 1989..... still flawless.
A friend has a 20" CRT set that I sold him back in 1998 - still flawless.
And back in 1988 he had a 27" Panasonic "Prism" top model that lasted 19 years before it died.
Pretty good reputation for that brand.
Radios?..... Panasonic baby!
My collection of them (6) made from 1969 to 1980 are still terrific performers.
My biggest portable -Panasonic RX-5600 "Platinum Series" - 1980. - the classic "boombox".
(And yes, Michael, it plays cassettes beautifully.)

Nice Panasonic "boombox", WOT!
I have a much more humble Panasonic RX-4933L - a silver version of the one pictured.
It works well with my old Technics RP-F500 headphones!
