Just perusing thru Epay............I found a pair of un-used RS 5" full-range.........I had a pair of these long long ago & they performed outstanding. These are the real deal, unused as the cones had a green color out of the box......once they were exposed, the cones would change color to that god-awful grey color. There are no markings on the mounting holes....
No one has bid on them yet.
Since I am truly "out of the country" I cannot obtain them as the importation of them is a hit or miss proposition.(Stolen from 'the system' or jacking up the price so they will be "released")

I think that it may be similar to the fabled Radio Shack 40-1354. Finding an unused unit is very cool.

Alas, it's not unknown elsewhere, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, & most of Europe. Better, but still around. Dave shipped me a consignment of drivers about 5 years back. Vanished, to turn up on eBay about 4 months later. Nobody could do anything about it, including the police who (in fairness, understandably) had better things to do with their miniscule resources than put the thumb-screws on the eBay seller to find out if his tale of picking them up at a car-boot sale was true or not. Almost certainly not, but there it is. In an era when big corporations do sweetheart handshake deals over lunch with HM Customs & Revenue to avoid paying billions in UK tax (subsequently documented fact) & nobody does a blind thing about it other than give several of the companies in question large quasi-governmental contracts, one gets to despairing.

Hmm, don't currently have access to my extensive RadioShack info, but from memory the 40-1284 series performed nowhere near as good overall as the 40-1354, to the point where I returned mine after measuring its specs and doing an A-B comparison.
Strictly from catalog specs, its much more limited dynamic headroom rating [20W Vs 60W] severely limits its cab loading options.
