I haven't seen your circuit. Consider the voltage loop gain between LTP base and the output (point where fb is taken from); call it L.
The higher L is, the more sensitive the output is to LTP base noise. This noise sensitivity can be a problem with high L designs. So given a choice of where to locate the FB resistor, choose close to the LTP.
