Rotel RX-800 inside button! What does it do? The one circled in red is the one knob that makes me wonder, what is it for?

It's hard to read, but the switch position on the right seems to be labeled "75µs" so I would assume the time constant of the RIAA network for the phono input is switchable between the common 50µs and 75µs.

Check if there is "50µs" written on the left side of the switch. 😉

Yes.
The two standards for an FM tuner pre-emphasis/de-emphasis.

Switches like that can become very noisy/intermittent. I'd think it well worth linking out tbh.
