Rotel RCD-971 00 display error

I just let a guy from electronic shop to try unplug the drive data wire and drive DC wire. I mean pull out the CD tray and all CD drive mechanic. Once I turned on 00 display still show.

If the problem came from CD drive, why 00 display still show even I remove the drive?
I just curious. Any comment will be appreciated.

I replaced the laser as well, so I would swap them all over and see what the outcome is.

Today

I bought new machanic drive and CD head of KSS213CCM to replace. I also change new pair cable. However the result is the same 00 display still shows.

Any comment?

00 Display starts suddenly when I turn on the power and remains show. When I check there is a red light from the pickup len and the is a some little sound from the drive itself. Have to listen intentionally the hear this low sound.

I apologize for my prior post; I went back to the beginning and I forgot that your Rotel 971 is not playing anymore.
...It is simply stuck to that 00 display.

You are certainly a very determined guy supernut. I wish that I could help, but I can't...I don't even know where is the point of no return.
