Forever I used a Nakamichi CDP-2A, loved the sound. When the power supply went caput, I did a bit of research and found the Rotel RCD 855, which has the Philips DAC chip and CD4 transport. Bought a 1 owner on the "Bay", looks to be in excellent condition. I set it up, turn it on, tray comes out a bit noisy, not unusual. Insert a brand new factory disc. The disc seems to jump around, error message light appears. I took off the cover and pressed play to see what it does. The disc sort of jumps, turns one way, then the next. then the "Error" light appears. Had anyone experienced this problem with their CD player that uses the Phillips CDM-4/19 ? Any help is big time appreciated.
