Thank u for letting me join. I have a Rotel RA-1412 amp. My repair tech has informed me that the POWER SWITCH needs to be replaced, any advice would be appreciated on finding a replacement switch or a interchangeable switch from a similar Rotel model. My repair tech is very good at diagnostic work, but does not have the time to locate this item, thanks ahead of time for any help
I am new to this electronic world. The following info was passed on to me by the receiver tech
But here's what he needs to know. The switch needs to be a DUAL power switch which has contacts for both the speakers and the 120 supply. (This amp doesn't have independent speaker protection circuits and uses the front section of the switch to power the speakers on and off)..
The main reason you need a dual switch is because of the Rotel's current requirements. A single switch isn't sufficient. It will burn out sooner rather than later. In order to compensate for current requirements, you need a dual switch and the two sides need to be bridged.

it should have pins on both sides on the back section), but notice that there are two sections -- the one in the front with the six pins, which is where the speaker connections go -- and the four pins in the back section (there should be four pins) for the 120 power.
I can post a photo of a similar burned switch but have not idea how to upload it--thanks

Hope you can find what you need.
If not, maybe just look for a power switch and use some dpdt relay to control the speaker connection.
