The only pair of Aurum Cantus G3Si ribbons
The only pair of CSS RT-1 ribbons
Same thing IIRC.
dave
You're just one number off Dave. I will show the difference. CSS did not have anything like a G3. OTOH, I have a single AC G2 (no pic) that has a similarity to the rectangular RT-1 from CSS. The CSS ones I have, have a round faceplate, and I am not sure if there is a connection to AC.
Here is AC G3Si vs, CSS RT-1 with the round face plate.

I had wondered but was too polite to ask 🙂. Then again Tamara Ecclestone had a £4million flat in london apparantly just for her dogs to live in 🙂Appreciated. Thing is, I moved 15 years ago but had to keep the house just for speaker storage. 😉
What will you do with back up freezers 1 to 5? Have you persuaded the family to stop bringing pickups full of seafood when they visit?
Moving things out slowly. Advertising bits at a time.
No more family for a couple months I believe. Slowly chipping away at the excess.

If AC made the CSS unit, it would be similar to the G2.as opposed to the CSS
I also have a single rectangle face G2 as mentioned.
Ah yes, I remember those, and your "twist these leads together" crossover switch!Yes Dave, the famous back of the napkin, while dining, speakers we started designing during one of your earlier visits. It was my first open baffle midrange. You held my hand through the process. It was the second speaker I took to the RAW fest at Al Wooley.'s place.
All the best Cal with moving on.
Are you getting rid of the "spit tube" coaxial Seleniums? Always wished I had bought a pair.
Thanks Tony,
Yes, the moving on is tough but necessary.
Most things are for sale including the 'fart tube' Selenium coax's and their happy home, aka their cabinets.
For those who don't know, The fart tube refers to the tweeter horn that is hidden behind the dust cap.

Sorry tubo, this post did not come up for me. Yes, I have 802. Let me go check and get back to you.

The RT-1 is trhe one with the unusual diaphram and the lower sensitivity? My favorite of the ones i tried. Diaphragm makes them particularily robust.

I might be wrong Dave but I believe this is an OEM version of the AC G2, with Bob R's, calculated 'readjustments'. Please help clarify if you know more.
I also have a single single AC G2N with the rectangle faceplate that I can bring over and compare if necessary.
Lots still to move, I only wish i has a ChrisB in my life. I know you know what I mean. Wishing you the best of health both body and mind Dave.

These things are coming out in no particular order. I am digging from front to back. I dusted off a JBL 2242HPL 18" PA woofer. History unknown. Tested fine, small blemish on the lower left of the cone as seen in the photo. Not a hole, just a scuff. Best price I see in this country is $300. Yours for $200. No shipping, come listen and then get it. It weighs 30 lbs. or 13.5 kgs.

Sale is pending on the 511s, but I also have 811 s for those who need a smaller horn. Good down to 800 Hz vs. the 511's @ 500 Hz.
Here's a comparison of 811's on top of the 511s.
I think $150 CAD is fair for a pair of the 811s.

511's sold but I may have more coming up. 811's have drivers on them now but I can split them up.
