I have a pair of old speakers in which one of the C8MX drivers has failed. For nostalgic reasons I am hoping to restore them to their former glory...
The speaker has 57/8 stamped on the frame. The 57 refers to the cone material (F57) and the 8 refers to the nominal impedance (8 Ohms).
If anyone can help with a replacement driver I would be grateful.

That is the version without the whizzer cone. The C8MX is the version with the extra hf cone - hence the addition of th X to the model.
The Australian Rola field coil speakers may have been similar to the pre-war US Rola models but following this era they went their own way and developed local models and became essentially a totally Australia speaker manufacturer.
