Has anybody ever made new cabinets for the Rogers LS6? I love the sound of these speakers but it does look 70/80s dated and a little beat up. I got it second hand so the binding post screw is stripped that connects to the xover board through the back. The cabinet has scratches and a couple of gouges on it that I do not know if wood putty can fix. So I wonder if I use the same volume with stuffing and different LxWxH to make it a tower. Or as someone else said in some other forum this speaker's xovers, tweeter and midbass are designed to be tuned to the cabinet so making a new cabinet would not work.
Why not just cover the cabinet and fixed the binding post ?
I make my own cabinets and cover them in thin carpet which is hard wearing. I use my speakers on the road for a disco so they take some knocks.
If you insist on a new cabinet then i would go for the same dimensions.

Oh its called WAF. We are putting new cherry furniture in the living room and my wife wants matching cherry wood finish if possible. I use to have a PSB silver stratus speakers which were black and Martin Logans which were gray and non of them matches and the little rugrats love to knock them down so they had to go. 🙂
