Here we have a Rockford Punch 360.2 board number PC-3081-D.
She draws 20 amps current at idle and has full rail on one channel!!!
Found 2 shorted output fets and 2 burned source resistors!!!!
Clipped output fet legs and removed both burned source resistors and powered up fine with DC gone!!!!

Powers up and idles nicely........Bias is set........and........she's a runner!!!
Not all of them are this easy, but about 75% of them are. Everything in the protection circuit was OK and nothing was out of tolerance.
Time to put it back in it's home.....the heat sink!!!

Works flawlessly......love the sound quality of older Rockford amps, not to mention the compact size and generally very impressive power output!!!
Congratulations Sean, I liked your tutorial, is a good base for the initiated, and for the uninitiated as well ....
