yeah mine has been 1995-2002 i think, even that 8ohm might be in range.
Oldest amp i´ve check is Hifonics VIII series, all caps ok exept factory fitted two bi-polar caps which suppost to be polarity caps.
pioneer gm-x904 had most bad caps, freaking hot amp and 85c caps.
Newer era amps DLS cc-4 is very hot too, many smd´s used, future tells how long they last.

Replacements for the 100uf 25 v
Here goes a second try....This is a few more options for those 10 pcs. Of 100uf 25v capacitors.
I have measured them a little more carefully and I don’t think they are the physical dimensions that I had reported in my earlier post...
Here are my more accurate measurements of these caps:
6.3mm diameter X11mm length. 2.5 mm lead spacing.
—What prompted me to re-examine the size compared to the original measurement I took was that there are hardly any capacitors available in the sizes I thought they were.
—Using the search filter on the vendors website kinda helped push me in the direction to figure that out.... and there are way more options in this 6.3 diameter size. (Even audio grade!)
—I had originally and carelessly measured the diameter to be 5mm.
I don’t think the length matters much, but....I also discovered that the lead spacing is 2.5mm rather than 2mm like I originally thought.....
Anyways...
—Again I’m not sure these capacitor specifications matter as was mentioned, but I welcome advice from the experts once again and then I can order the parts...

The one thing I noticed on the data sheet was at the top it says attention: not applicable automotive.
—I’m sure they meant that these would not be acceptable for automobile parts?
(O.k for an audio amplifier) But I don’t know? These Panasonics are also able to run up to 105’c instead of the original capacitors which are rated for only 85’c. Does this matter?
—Otherwise these have higher ripple current? It doesn’t tell me the ESR? Or is there something I am missing?

Is it possible that these would be the exact same as the original caps installed in this amplifier so long ago?
If so... should I just order these and be done with it?
If it doesn’t hurt anything would it be ok to use some more modern capacitors such as the Panasonic’s I listed above as my first pick? I’m not sure that I should even be comparing things like ripple current and ESR for these smallest caps?
I know it was important for the primary filter caps...only because Perry told me so... Thanks to this site and Perry!
The difference in price is only pennies... but I only want to solder these little buggers in once.
If it will absolutely do nothing but improve function to put the more expensive Panasonic’s in I’m down for the Panasonic’s.
I’m not into experimenting much... or taking stabs in the dark?

I’m curious if you might know how old this amplifier is?
I guess if anyone knows? I would appreciate knowing or if there is some way to decode the year...it would be cool to know?
I just wanted to add that this previous owner also informed me that this amplifier sat in a barn for years.
And it is cold in Canada in the Winter.
It is very possible that this amplifier has been through years of freezing and thawing temperatures for long stretches below -40’celsius. and presumably has not had any power hooked up to it either for the time it sat, for so long.
I’m not sure if this information has any use?
Out of those, I'd use the panasonics but only because they're right next to regulators that run very hot and they have a 105C rating. But, realize that the 85C caps have survived for many years in those locations.
The owner's manual is from 2002.
The serial number may have the year in it. Seankane may know if that's true or not.
