Hint.
When operating at voltages as low as +5V and +3.3V, better results will be obtained if the 10K resistor is replaced by a J506 Constant Current Diode (1.5mA) or a selected N- FET that is approx. 1.5mA with Gate and Source connected together.
A J506 etc. will also permit optimum performance over a wider voltage range.
