the people of Denver were terrific, and the hotel always played

I built a heavy-duty dolly to help with an older Ampex bass cabinet I used to play through. These days it carts amps around in much the same way those X-amps are riding.

I used to work at Ampex and I play the bass. I don't recollect that the company ever made cabinets suitable for bass guitar. Could you mean Ampeg perhaps?
