RIP Ron Hynes

Singer-songwriter Ron Hynes, "The Man of a Thousand Songs", from Newfoundland, has passed away at 64. Founder of The Wonderful Grand Band, he wrote many cherished songs (like "Sonny's Dream").

Here is his award-winning song "Godspeed" which he wrote to commemorate the death of another great song writer Gene MacLellan.

I used to love going down to the Ship Inn in St. John's to hear him play. Great memories.
