I saw very sad to find out one of my favorite keyboardists passed to almost no fanfare.

I was lucky to see him in Tokyo live at the Blue Note about 5 years ago. Very pleasant stage persona and excruciatingly down to earth. His son was playing bass, then the band stepped off the stage and it was just Joe on the stage doing solo, so he asked him to bring him a scotch.
