We learned today of the passing of Graham Maynard.

Many I'm sure will remember Graham for the lively debates, topics and ideas he brought to the forum. Graham was also a regular contributor to the very highly regarded publication "Wireless World/ Electronics World" and I'm sure many will remember his series called "Class-A Imagineering" which ran for several months.

He will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

RIP Graham Maynard. Condolences and comfort to his bereaved family. Exchanged a few emails on his GEM amp.

I've been interested in a project he published in EW&WW entitled Phase Linear Subwoofer Filter in the February 2001 issue. I have laid out a PCB too many times and lost each of the designs which is strange. I wonder why I have not seen this discussed here?

R.I.P Graham. 🙁

We discussed his T-Bass circuit quite a bit on this forum and elsewhere. I used it and it was a fun, passive way to boost bass on O.B. Didn't not know he wrote for Wireless World.

I've had very hard discussions with Graham from his Electronics World articles many years back.
We held very much opposing viewpoints on several issues.
Yet, he always was the gentleman, and he was very much motivated and engaged.
I understand he was plagued by bad health in his last years.
I hope he finds peace at last.
Thank you Graham for your contributions.

I believe Graham had projects published in more than than one magazine. He contributed quite a few articles to Practical Wireless magazine over some years, from the '70s I recall. I was reminded of these when I later saw his name and articles appear in E&WW and then here at DIYAudio. He was more than what we had seen in recent years and is a sad loss to audio electronics enthusiasts.

R.I.P. Graham and thank for your wonderful contributions over the years. May your friends and family find a warmth of appreciation and lasting memory here.

Thank You....

Hello to all, I'm Simon... Grahams son.

Can i please thank you all on behalf of Mum and myself for your wonderful words you have written about my Best Friend.... an amazing Dad, an amazing Husband, an amazing family man, a true Gentleman.... and an absolute Genius in the world of electronics. Its been incredible the regards, condolences and kind words we have received about Pops from all over the world since his sad and shocked passing.... Dad would be very surprised and humbled by them all.

I have been blessed to have spent my life watching Dad design, build, modify, invent and repair absolutely everything you could imagine electric and otherwise, he could put his hand to anything.
...and have watched and supported Dad in his endless life-times work, inventing, researching and proving concept of so many electronic wonderments.

The legacy that Pops leaves behind is endless... and we are surrounded here in the family home with so many of dads projects past, present and those being developed for the future... which myself and others will do our best to continue, though the complexity and deep electrical and physical understanding that went on in Dads brain, its an impossible task to ever complete them to the level and status Dad would have.

Its amazing the love and respect dad held from so many all over the world who had only ever had verbal or written correspondence with him... I only wish you could all have met the lovely, humble gentleman whom he was.

For me; I am blessed to have had such an amazing father... sadly taken from us too soon. The electronics world has lost a true genius, but his memory and legacy shall live on forever.

Rest in Peace Pops... My Inspiration and Hero. We miss you dearly and love you with all our hearts.
Thank you all.
