Well, I dunno about "Sir", but he was certainly a leader in his field. Building, managing and growing the company for the best part of fifty years was a great accomplishment.

Jim Marshall was a gentleman, I met him several times and he was always happy to chat to his legion of fans and would spend many hours at trade fairs signing autographs and posing for photos. I've fired up the JCM and blasted the neighbours to mark his passing, it's what he would have wanted.
