Ring Modulator idea

Ive though Id try and make a Ring Mod like this (see pic)
But I want to replace the FET with a Tube/valve. The FET is basicallt a voltage controlled variable resistor
Do you think its possible??

I don't know about that, but I think you could do the whole job with a single tetrode - the kind of tube used for AGC in radios. The distortion may be lousy, though...

Yes-I see were you are coming from-I'm sure a mate mine tried that-distortion no good for medium/high quality audio. Needs to be used for general programme, not just guitar.
Not sure how to implement that as my knowledge is pretty this when it comes to anything other than triodes!😕
