My ribbon controller is constructed three parts as follow.

"Ribbon controller" - which is made with a film of electric conductor
(like black paper which include carbon , or rubber conductive bag.
It is pasted to the vinyl chloride seat.)
Body is made by conduit pipe which is used at office etc.

"Handmade simple analog oscilator" - which is include NE555 as main oscilator, and cmos frequency divider.

"Multi Effect(KORG AX1G)" - Sound of my analog oscilator is like
poor buzzer. But it is processed various sounds by multi effects(like you listened on my youtube videos).

I can see no VCA or equivalent, not even a gate circuit. The Bob Moog version had a trigger out, so that when you took your hands off the ribbon it didn't just revert to its highest note and keep playing, but cut out (well, as it was driving a modular, it could do anything, of course; but that was what it was designed for). And he made one with pressure sensitivity – I'm not sure how, but I can think of several usable techniques – which came out as a separate control voltage, so filter or amplitude could be dynamically controlled.

You are correct. There are no VCF and VCA on my circuit.
But the output of oscillator always connect to KORG AX1G
multi effect pedal which has continuous foot controller.
And it can controll cut off frequency of filter, modulation depth/speed,
volume and more. So it's not VCA or VCF, but it's FCA
(Foot Controlled Amplifier) or FCF(Foot Controlled Filter). Hi Hi. 😉

These songs are amazing!
As you say, this etno style is well suited for the instrument

The ribbon controller reminds me of a few app-synths for iPad.
Have you tried BeBot for example?
The touch screen of the iPad makes it possible to control the synth in the same way.

It also reminds me of the touch keyboard synth WASP from the 80ies.
It was real fun synth back then...:hbeat:

Hi Vongole

Thanks for the links, that Bebot player was really cool!

Last week I was visiting Tokyo and I noticed that 'Book Off' had adverticements for iPad2 for about 28000Y. (but I am not 100% sure it really was iPad2...).
I think it was a very good price and since you live Japan you might be interested...

Back in the 80ies, the synth player in my punk band used a WASP. Unfortunately it was stolen and it was very difficult to replace.
It had a very unique, sharp sound.
