Looking for a ribbon for a three way dipole.
The new Fountek NeoPro5i v. AC G3. Basically same price but the Fountek is larger with all the features that go with that: greater sensitivity, bandwidth, etc.
Two issues of concern. The new Fountek series no longer uses a pure Al ribbon. Should I care? Also the Fountek has a bump at 10k. It's hard for my new-bile eyes to tell, but the AC G3 might have a smoother response. Do I get DIY points subtracted if I have to use a notch filter?
How to choose one over the other? Any advice? Didn't get much info from the Madisound forum.
They are going to be crossed over to an Audax PR170M0 midrange.

the bohlender&graebner isostatic devices (neo 3/raw , neo8) are dipole designs, cheap enough for experimental use (90-130 bucks)
and assembled in a proper way they really sound good.
well not real ribbons and the effordet woodwork is a bit special but the
electrical part is easy to handle (4 ohms constant)
there is a dipole construction by the german distributor of b&g

not really a beauty but i´ve seen another design with symetric shaped dipole-panel that really soundet great.
