RH807SE HiPot test

At least its easy to remove the resistor. I don't know much about this type of feedback. Found this.

The pentode driver is the best candidate in a “plate to plate” / shunt feedback or “Schadefeedback amplifier which is the name typically used in the DIYAudio world. The triode doesn’t work well here as you need high gain and low distortion with a load which can get quite low (due to the feedback effect of the feedback resistor).

You may do better to create another thread on the subject as it will get more reads and get a debate.

I listened to the amp with the feedback (2k2) resistor and a 100pf ceramic cap. Still a little ringing on sqaure waves but decided to take a listen anyways.

Sounds good and an improvement I think. I probably want a better cap for the feedback bypass but the ceramics were all I had. I'll listen a bit and then try some different coupling caps to see what they do.
