Good afternoon,
I have a Rockford T1000.4 here. The customer says it all of a sudden started having issues with alt noise. He switched amps and it went away. So he believes the problem is with the amp.
I have tested this thing inside and out.... it seems to be perfectly fine. I am even running my power supply on my batt bank... still no high frequency noise. 🙁
Is there another way short of trying to get it into someones car to hear the issue? Or something specific that might be the issue?
I suppose the problem could still be with his setup... but ya. He's been doing this stuff for years... Unless the other amp he's using now, isn't being effected like this one is???
Any thoughts?

Confirm that there is an infinite resistance reading from the shields to the primary ground.
Check the shield grounds on his head unit.

Good evening sir,
Unfortunately he lives far... I'll have to try to get someone to check them for him.
As for the amp. I get 7.5m ohms from the RCA shield to the primary ground.

Readings in the M ohms will not cause engine noise.
He can check the shields if he has a multimeter.
