Does anyone know what is the clock speed of my CD player? I am thinking upgrading it with a XO kit. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
B225 http://www.revox.net/info/b225.html
is based on Philips SAA7210/SAA7220/TDA1541A
XClock = 11.2896 MHz
Cheers 😉

tda1540 not 1541
The B225 is not based on TDA1541 but on the 14 bits TDA1540. If this implies another clock frequency? I don't know. Maybe this will help:

hi,
with such nice modular build i can imagine a mk2 version.
1983 is a bit early for 1541 i think. Isnt cd304 and cd304mk2 not also the difference between 1540/1541?
anyway, open it and have a look inside. 😀
It's normally either:
- SAA7210/SAA7220/TDA1541 with 11MHz on the 7220 or
- SAA7000/7010/7020/7030/2*TDA1540 with
4.2336MHz on the 7000
If it helps to replace this 4MHz clock with something better, i don't know. God knows how much jitter the logic in the 7000 or 7030 produces 😉
