Any updates on this? I was looking for info on Victors Oscillator in the Low-distortion Audio-range Oscillator thread only to run into the "Sorry, this thread is too long to be printed" error. There is a wealth of info in the 509+ page thread, but it's essentially now unavailable if it cannot be easily searched.
Doesn't the This thread search function work well enough?...but it's essentially now unavailable if it cannot be easily searched.
Hi @UniQ,
I have not found that function useful. For me, it very tedious to search this way, especially for a long thread. It's one of the main reason I purchase the Membership; to get access to the print thread function (and to help support the forum).
My fallback is to use Google with " site:diyaudio.com" added, with the forum's search function as a last resort.

Hi Tom,
I use the "print" function to produce the whole thread on a single browser page, then use CTRL + F to search for the term I'm looking for (Or scroll if its an image I'm looking for). I find this to be much quicker and it allows me to readily see previous and subsequent posts for context or replies.
Being able to see the other posts near the post where the search criteria is met, all on a single page makes a big difference. If you use the thread search function, you need to click into each result to see the surrounding posts.
