returning to a thread

When I return to a thread that I've read before, it goes to the beginning of the thread
instead of where I left off. I couldn't find any setting to change that.

As far as i noticed the forum will take you to the first new, unread post if there is any. If there is no new post you go to start of thread.

For me it usually the last read post that comes up. But often it’s the first post. I’m trying to figure out what is different

I get it about 50% of the time, but I'm clicking through from email links. I'll have to see what happens when I go from notifications next time around.

This is still happening, going to the beginning of a thread instead of where I left off. IS there a setting
somewhere I have to check?

Seems to be XF default behavior. If there have been new posts or you didn't read to the last page it'll take you to where you left off, otherwise it'll take you to the first post.
