Restaining Walnut Veneer Speaker cabs

Hi All,

I have a pair of Monitor Audio R852/MD Golds that have sun damage to to the majority of the cabinets. The original colour is still present underneath where the grill attaches. What would be the easiest way to refinish these speakers? Simply sand the whole cabinet and restain or is it more complex?

If you're sure they are real wood veneer, and not laminate, then I would try a chemical stripper first. It is very easy to go through to the base material when sanding, especially around edges.
