Resistors that are comparable to Vishay RN55D

RN55E are better quality at 25 ppm tempco; Dale PTF series are down to 5 ppm, which is close to the quality of bulk metal foil resistors but not nearly as expensive.

C, D, E and other letters refer to the temperature coefficient rating of the resistor; D is 100 ppm, which is typical of metal film resistors. Carbon film resistors are 200 ppm or higher.
 
Agreed, but low Tc is a significant contributor to the most linear resistors. Low Tc wirewound resistors are also excellent, mostly for the same reasons. I always chose low Tc resistors whenever I have a choice and the quality of the part is important.
