Hi,
I'm gathering parts for a Firstwatt F1 build and am wondering of upgrading from the Vishay metal film resistors to tantalum film or Riken carbon film resistors will have significant sonic benefits. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

true. I guess what I'm wondering is whether the difference is discernible. At 5 bucks a resistor things could get pricey. Also on a similar note, would it be problematic to use a 220 ohm resistor instead of a 221 ohm resistor in the fourteen different places in which they are used on the circuit? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
As a rule, Gate stopper resistors need not have any tolerance to speak
of. The functional values for these range down to about 100 ohms without
much difference.

Thank you for your knowledge (and your design!). Is this true for other resistors in the circuit as well as well? If I do replace the Dale resistors with tantalum film resistors, the values of some of the resistors will off by a few ohms. Is this problematic? Thank you.
