One hour search was negative.
I would sure love to find DIY kit or plans for a DAC with the following specific architecture:
The DAC requires only unbalanced output, with moderate current for a 47k Ohm load, moderately high gain active SS preamp.
Thanks!
I would sure love to find DIY kit or plans for a DAC with the following specific architecture:
- USB input only, omitting two SPDIF buffers (one each at the load and source)
- CM6631A USB transceiver directly feeding I²S Philips NOS TDA1543 chip
- Power Supply: high-speed rectifiers, choke-input filter, RF shielding, low-noise
The DAC requires only unbalanced output, with moderate current for a 47k Ohm load, moderately high gain active SS preamp.
Thanks!
I won't mention the $7k DAC because I never gore audio ox.
Re. the $1k DAC: I know "cloning" is common, but I am concerned of unwritten rules regarding such. It might be bad manners to mention the make/model DAC, which is currently in production.
I should just buy it, but would prefer to save funds, plus DIY is of course fun and rewarding.
