I'm replacing the 30K volume potentiometer on a class D amplifier board and was wondering if there was any problem replacing it with a potentiometer of a different value. I have on hand a 100K and 500K potentiometer. What sort of issues if any would I encounter if I soldered on a potentiometer of a higher value onto this amplifier?
Thanks

If the amp input is floating and the pot is not set at zero you might get hum and noise pickup.
I use the irs2092 for my class d amps and that needs a really low value of pot as the input impedance is only 3k9.
