I have a small punch 55 here and a good set of IRF540 and IRF9540 that I found in my box of parts. Could I use these in it would replacing the other channel?
Is it okay if use these in it? With out replacing the other channel it still works.
Here's what it says on the fets
IRF540
H6 27
IRF9540
H6 31

If it's your amp, you can install used parts. If this is for a paying customer or you intend to sell the amp, order and install new parts.
Yes it just my amp for my personal collection, but would it be reliable if I wanted to run it my self?
That's impossible to say without knowing what the replacement transistors had been subjected to or their age. The date code may be available in the datasheet but you still won't know how hard they've been driven.
If you don't abuse it, they will likely survive.

Those mosfets came from a punch 40.2 that I got a whole back it had a blown power supply but none of the outputs were damaged I had used one pair for testing a project amp and left the other two on the board. I wanted to use this punch 55.2 to run a 10" kicker comp single 4 ohm coil sub in a box I'm making. Or use it power speakers.
The parts are made by Harris semi because it has the 'H' printed on them.
Note: I installed them in and it so far it's playing ok I guess I have connected to some test speakers that are 6 ohms on each channel playing full blast. Reaches what I would consider normal operating temps? Hasn't shut off or anything.

Not gonna get much power out of that amp at 6 ohms stereo bro.
But do you know if it will be okay for my personal use?
Well if it works it works. Like Perry said there is no telling how hard the used outputs you installed were driven. It may last a month it may last for years. Put it in your car and run it hard for a few weeks if it does not let you down I think it will be fine.
If it's your amp and you know how to repair it, try them. If they fail, you'll simply have to repair it again.
