Replacing AD1864 DAC chip

Hi all,

Can AD1864 be replaced with AD1865 without any changes in an existing circuit?
In their datasheet it looks like they both have the same pinout and in the AD1865 it’s mentioned that they are pin compatible.

Correct me if I’m wrong but as I understand from the article AD1865 can be placed in AD1864 circuit but not the other way around, is it correct?
