Hi,
I want to build a pair of Rob elder’s Veepers as seen here:
Veeper TM Monitor Speaker
I have the woofers but can’t seem to be able to find the discontinued teeters. Is there a drop in replacement available? I suspect that there won’t be so I do have a pair of xt25s on the shelf looking to get used. I would need help designing the crossover though. I’m better at the soldering and building the cabinets.
Any thoughts welcome.
Pa. I just realized that I also have a pair of vita dq25s and a pair of foster ft207ds as well.

Louis Corragio is one of my speaker heroes. 🙂
Can't be hard to find a tweeter to match his original with the splendid Peerless 830875 woofer.
What about this one:
Peerless by Tymphany BC25SC08-04 1" Silk Dome Neodymium Tweeter with Waveguide 4 Ohm
Michael Chua had a good time with it:
SuperMicro (Tang Band W3-1364SA + Peerless BC25SC08) – AmpsLab
But really you can use any old tweeter IMO. Just set loudness with a resistor in front.

You mean this one Vifa DQ25SC16-04, 1" Titanium Dome Tweeter ?
Zaph likes it a lot
I don't find the original Vifa TT datasheet which could help you to know the impedance of the Vifa TT at the cut-off.
It's certainly near 10 ohms for the Nomex midwoof according its datasheet. And 4 ohms for the original tweeter and the dq25sc at looking here tested by Zaph (the Vifa TT) Zaph|Audio
but I will use the one above if you have it. Same filter without the 1.5R and will keep the 6.5 ohms...circa ?
Keep the 10 uF and try 30 uF instead the 8 uF cap (try both scenario?).
0.18 mH instead 0.25 ? Cut-Off around 2650 hz. But it' just one octave above the Fs of that tweeter ! The former has a slighty lower Fs
But System7 is the guy for that. Maybe try Xsim free soft if you find the .zrd file of that Dq25sc tweeter

Thanks guys. I think I am going to try the ne25. Hopefully I can get sounding decent as something Lou would approve of. This is my second design of his I am trying. He made some really nice designs.
