One of the springs under the speaker terminal leaf switches on the back of my subwoofer popped out and must be replaced, but I don't know the size or where to find an OEM replacement (I've found springs on eBay, but again, I don't know the required size.)
Any help appreciated. TIA.

Go to a toy or auto parts shop, they have many varieties, take a sample along
Or try a shop like Micro Tools on line

Thx for the reply. Naturally, I don't have a sample to bring along, otherwise I'd already know the size.
I'll check MicroTools, but I still need the dimensions. It's a standard leaf terminal.

Do you mean the spring clips on the actual driver basket?

Just the tiny springs under the plastic leaf buttons. I still have the button (which simply falls out w/o a spring to hold it in place.) The terminals look like this. You can kinda see the springs in the photo.

Just store them in your computer, and attach them in the 'Go Advanced' option.

I think you will have to buy a new socket of some kind and pull it apart to get the springs.

Small coil springs can be found in toys, spring type ball pens, old contactors and so on.
And a new terminal like that is about 50p here...
Must be damaged, the springs do not pop out unless forced.
Better change the whole thing.
Use screw type terminals for better grip, do not over tighten.

Thx. I'm going to risk that the terminals in my photo match the terminals on my subwoofer, estimate the size of the springs based on the size of the leafs, and just buy a small pack of springs on eBay and pray they're the right size. 😕

I saw an image, but now it has disappeared - so I am attaching a similar image for all to see.
I would replace the entire spring connector panel, but, since this is your first post on the forum, I don't know how competent you are with a soldering iron.

I'm pretty sure You have one of these lying around. They use springs !!

Alas springs come in all sizes and stiffnesses - the stiffness depends on the 4th power of wire thickness and the 3rd power of spring diameter, so its pretty hard to compare springs just by appearance.
Is the ID of a pen spring large enough to surround the support peg of the terminal? I might just have to go look. If not, consider your piggy bank. It is an excellent source of new binding terminal funding. This is not a retirement busting item.
It's a pity we couldn't see this first time poster's images.
Fitting a new terminal plate is the obvious solution, but he hasn't responded to my remark regarding his competence with a soldering iron.

I have tossed out tons of those.
As suggestted in this other thread asking the same thing:
Source for NAD T775 Speaker Terminals?
Different NAD, different terminals, same fix/upgrade.

Best to go for the screw terminal types, if needed mount on the chassis rather than PCB.
Less chance of damaged solder joints.
Or you can get similar terminals in electrical shops, even something like a panel terminal if all else fails...

Phoenix Contact makes screw less (spring loaded) terminals too.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
