I have a pair factory sealed.
One was opened today to take photos.
I was a manufacturer in the 1980's -90's and used Fane speakers in production.
These were built in July 1992.
On eBay now:

I have recently tested the B&C 8PE21 and i like it very much. My intended use of it is in a mid-bass horn, 150-700ish. It has a very nice tone as a direct radiator too, no wild cone resonaces.
Should be on the short list of candidates for a Fane replacement 🙂

FANE Crescendo 8MB
an successor with an excellent sonic quality is this FANE driver:
http://www.subaudio.org/download/fane/Fane_hp_crescendo_8MB.pdf
Unfortunately I don't find it on FANE's websites.
Is this transducer also obsolete in the meantime?

They are very good, best prices too.
I have bought about 20 speakers of them and never had a problem.
good advice - thank you therefore. Maybe I start a new two-way sattelite speaker project for home audio application with this low-mid driver and either with the SICA tweeterThey are very good, best prices too.

Ideal for single ended power amplifier with low power output like ZEN and "Power Follower" from Andrea Ciuffoli.
Maybe with an active crossover network without additional operational amplifiers like second PDF file in post #1 under

faital 8fe200 would fit into your bill, but i read that it does not sound as good as some other 8 inchers
however faital 6fe200 has got great reviews
it would match dome tweeters better than a 8", would work 250-3000 and cheap as chips as well.

Blue Aran - Professional Sound and Lighting have loads of Fane drivers.
They are usually best on price too.

Seems like the eighteensound is more powerfull , and has more pressure level? Would this one be an upgrade for your cab?
What other parameters are important to check (more than the thiele small parameters are close to your speaker needs)?
