Hey 🙂

well unfortunetly i cannot remember what exaclty happened, it was last year!
i think the phono plug accidently hit one of the capacitors, i had the amp open while having a conversation with the woman, forgetting to turn it off first. and it went up in smoke lol
I have learnt a bit now which is cool.

I have had a problem where static at the input destroys the input transistor, if you plug things in when the amps on (it was a kind of 1 out of 100 chance) , but i think thats because i have no volume controll on the amp yet, and to make sure i have it turned down before plugging RCA in and out will sort that problem.

Possibly because im using zvp3306 instead of zvp3310 input buffer, there are some diferance, if i knew how i could adjust stuff to mach the diferent transistor, but to honest i should be able to but some zvp3310 some time 🙂

Thanks for your helps, guys

Anyone got a good Idea of what pass pre-amp, comercial or Diy to build.
Would suit the Zen 4 ? 😀😀
I Don't Realy get enoth signal level from my laptop or my "Zoom H4N" Recorder, i did from my old PC as the soundcard had quite a High output level.

Iv'e Got a Good Transformer laying around here with 2X 35v Secondarys.

In the UK, you can easily pick-up from the pre-owned market a MF A-X1 which has a pre-amp out which is quite good with the Zv4. It has a nice chassis with nice knobs too. Never mind the 50W/ch amp section -well good for movies on a warm evening. Then you have music while building your Pass pre-amp...
