Anyone know where I might find a black capacitor to replace in my Earthquake amp....oddly, it just snapped off the board...no heat problems from what I can tell.
Please post the specific numbers printed on the capacitor. Especially, any number that ends in anything that looks like uF- this is microFarads, the amount of capacitance. Another important number should end in V or say Volts or something like it. This is the max voltage spec. for the capacitor. The third very important number is a temperature rating, and should say deg. C or might have a 'degrees' sign, before a capital C
if these are not present, there may be a short string of numbers printed on it.

Thanks Stocker....the numbers are:
SMS
50v
2200uf
85 C
By the way....any diea where I can find the specs on this little guy (meaning the amp)?

You could probably replace it with a panasonic FC from digikey.. I think they run around $3.50 for the 2200uf/50v one. If there's others in there, you may want to replace them as well so you have the same ESR on both power supply rails (I'm assuming it's a power supply rail capacitor after the switching power supply)

No idea really...it was just bouncing around inside after it was delivered.
