Repair advice Sound Workshop 421 rotary

To react to the negative people and energy in this thread (not directed at anyone in particular):

Repair away! If this is a piece of cr*p like turbowatch says it is, it doesn't matter if it loses value. More importantly it is a great opportunity to have fun, learn stuff, and potentially help a friend.

Over the years I've discovered that there is a ton of value to learning new things and helping people, and there's a great sense of accomplishment associated with simply fixing something, as well as the increased self-confidence one gains by doing so.

One early thing to try would be to (gently of course) press down on the top of the socketed ICs. Been there 🙂
 
Quick update: New RCA connectors on their way from the far east, and electrolytes have been desoldered and new ones ordered. The board was very easy to desolder from, went effortless. I hope the deliveries won't be too long, will post an update here later.
