Hi everybody.I need help of removing the mut.trans. where are they?how they look?and after removing what to do?Just switch on the CD player or need to connect the cutted wire ?
They will be like this on the output of the final opamp and probably surface mounted too... this is from a Mini Disc recorder... but the set up will be similar.
Sometimes (occasionally) there are two transistors with a resistor inbetween to give a higher level of muting...
Just remove them... personally I don't believe it will make an audible difference... although many disagree 🙂 You might "think" it does but "has" it. Probably much better to fit higher quality opamps (depending on whats fitted)

Thank you!You are right I removed them but there was no difference.This is my trying player so I sacrificed it 🙂
I wouldn't do that... you risk ruining your player. The disadvantage may be significant...the advantage may not be.
