Remote Zap Standby circuit

Hello,

This is my absolutely first design (newbie), so please tell me if you see any serious problems with it! 😕

I have a preamp with a switchable 230V output (when I turn on the amp I get a 230V output). I want to use this output to put my zappulse into active mode using the standby function.

The idea is simple. The output runs through a power supply and switches a relay that is connected to the zappulses. There is also a LED that shows if the zap is active.

To be able to use the amp without the preamp, I have made a switch (S1 in schematic) that takes power from the 15V gate from the predator to power the relay if wanted. In other words the switch is marked "off / external" in one position and "on" in the other. It is marked in the schematic.

The 78L12 might be changed to a standard LM7812 depending on the relay used.

The schematic is in a .wmf format, but should be viewable on all windows computers?

Thanks for any comments!!!
