Remote control stepped attenuator for tube preamp - choices?

What are the choices now in 2021/22 for a stepped attenuator with a remote control? I want to add one to a type 47 preamp, so around 100K.

I know about Khozmo, but I'm sure there are many more of different types and at different price points.

Experiences and suggestions please?

My experience is only with Khozmo. I've built two identical preamps with his dual mono set-up and can highly recommend them. I used his ladder design.

I use the Bent Audio Tap-X autoformer VC on the output of my 01A preamp/DAC. Features 61 steps of 1db, full remote control, left/right balance adjustable. As a bonus, it can function as your output "transformer" in parafeed. Completely satisfied with the purchase.

Oops sorry Andy but I've seen Tipi - Vicol around the forum threads. Perhaps you can pm him. I've use it for couple of yrs now & it's been very reliable,
sounds pretty transparent as compared to Alps Black Velvet

Not cheap but it's the last one I'll buy for my main system. I had originally bought a Khozmo 48-step but the Bent beat it easily. The Khozmo went into my shop amp, a refurbished RCA RS-177H console amp. See pics.

Andy all depends your budget. I own Shallco & Elma, I prefer Shallco over Elma but both are trusty, actually I have Shallco with AVC Slagle & Elma with Dale RN60-65 I also used the Shallco with RN60-65 so I know outperforms Elna.

The Shallco is motorized but Elma can be motorized also by Bent Audio

Tortuga Audio makes a remote kit with a stepped attenuator. They also do their crazy optical attenuator too. Can't seem to pull up the website right now but they may have what you're looking for.
