Remote control Passive Volume Control with Display

I ordered this remote control but never assembled it. I have gone in a very different direction.

Pictures of remote, relay board, volume display and remote control is attached.

The remote control kit includes:

1) Quality metal film KOA Resistor Qty 44

2) Panasonic signal relays. Qty 24 relay

3) a dedicated remote control

4) Core-associated components control board

5) LED display Receiver

6) FR4 2.0MM total of three gold-plated blue PCB

7) All cables and mounting parts

8) Instructions. They are somewhat terse but include pictures and looks simple enough.

I paid $83 for this. Looking for $50 for everything. It looks like the parts along could be worth that. Shipping $4.95 in continenal US. $13 overseas.
