Remote Control for L-Pad...anyone ?

I have often used the "Crossover in my lap" approach where I can easily tweak to my heart's content while in the listening position. However, this is a not a family, kids, pets friendly approach! It does work well in a dedicated listening space.

The idea of the stepper motor tied to a good L-Pad appeals to me for a remote control version.

If you can move yourself to the active digital domain then there are heaps of possibilities.

On the EQ side, I use Linux with an ALSA multiband parametric EQ plug-in (15 or 18 bands). I can live switch between different EQ settings. No different I suppose to hardware versions (e.g. Mini DSP).

I am about to experiment on crossovers doing the same.

With a headless server - all you need is a tablet or phone with client of your choice to control.
