When I built my speaker pair relay switch, I used a 12VDC Bosch style 60A relay. Higher current means lower contact resistance, and they do have the phosphor bronze contacts for the switched circuit.
Money was well spent, as performance has not degraded.

The last my case was with a current of about 1 A AC (a bit higher).
In general, I measured my two amps with relays with a 10-14VAC output voltage and 8R / 4 R dummy load. I remember now at least two cases: 10VAC/8R (BARK-001 with РЕС-6, the last case), and 14VAC/4R (Matyushkin with Relpol RM81). Both of these relays are of a general use type.
